Doubs; buoy watching and excellent museums

As the summer of 2006 wore on the wines of Burgundy gradually gave way to those of the Jura, happily paired with the glorious mountain cheeses and saucisson to be found along the Doubs river.

Besançon and Montbeliard each supplied their own specialities, and Mulhouse delighted with some of the best museums in France.
